Is it possible to customize each user when sending out emails>  Currently when an email or message is sent, all users have the one individual user name attached.

I've customized a template for my invoices. Upon emailing the invoice the following will happen, either:

(a) the Print window as per usual opens, but then cancels itself quickly - nothing  happens, or

(b) I get a Microsoft .NET framework error regarding only TrueType fonts being supported. I am using the Dosis Google font, which is a TrueType. However, if I change my font to Arial in the template, I still get the same error. I've tried to determine if anything on my template is causing the error - I've gone so far as deleting everything on the template that I can, and only leaving the columns - I still get the same error!

This is the message im getting ,when im trying to print a report. "Your account is not in logical order, its missing a heading group" i tried to delete this account .Simply will not allow me not delete... tried to change it to a group heading , it is whited out, and will not allow me to change it.... the problem is that i made this account #1899 .....1890 is used  in a total account , and 1900 is used in a heading accountant really stuck here.... i would be ever grateful whom ever can help me out...I need the reports for the year end for the accountant.

I used to be able to send an invoice and statement to multiple e-mail address, but since the spring 2016 update, I am unable to. 

I had a mailing list set up in my e-mail program for the multiple e-mail address with a name, ie Sobeys. and in the Sobeys mailing list, were the 3 people that needed to receive the invoices.  In Sage I had the e-mail address as the mailing list title ie Sobeys.  It always worked, for years.  Now, since the update, Sage doesn't like the mailing list title, says it is an invalid email address.   

So then I added the three email address into the Sage email with a comma separating each address.  Works for invoices, but not for statements.   Statements only want one e-mail address. 

Is there going to be an update that corrects it back to the way it was, or have another way of doing it.  Or am I missing something

For some reason in the last few days, with no changes I know of, Sage 50 hangs if I print something as a PDF. Once I hit print, the window just sits there until it finally times out.I'm having this problem with Word and Excel 2010, but I fixed that because there's an Acrobat tab I can go to where I 'Create PDF' instead of doing File, Print and selecting Acrobat as a printer. Because of the way Sage handles printing, I doubt there's a similar plug-in, but Windows event log isn't providing any help at all. (What a surprise!)

I have Acrobat XI Pro installed and fully patched. OS is Win 7 Pro 64, again fully patched. We are on a domain. 

I'm trying to import sales invoices using the .imp format but I'm confused about how I should be importing the tax.

The sales invoices I'm trying to import are for a shipping order so my information is as follows:

Order No: 6000

Invoice No:6000

Entry Date: 2016-12-01

Total Amount = $480.25

The total amount is broken down into 3 line items:

• Linehaul fee, Item # 4000, amount = $326.95
• Service Fee, Item # 4000, amount = $98.05
• HST, Item #2485, amount = $55.25

I was originally trying to set up the SalInvoice tag like the following but it wasn't working:

I was also thinking I would need to append the tax information to the transaction option line but if I did that would my total amount in that line need to be the 480.24 - the tax? Or would I still keep the detail line for the tax?

I get the error message stating that there is no e mail associated with the program but I have Windows live mail as my default mail. How do I get the two to associate?

I am updating our check form - simply making a couple of minor alterations to PAYRLCHQ.rpt

I want to replace   47/100  with  47 Cents

The form has no 'Page Header' when I begin.
I click somewhere in open space of the Details section.
Insert -> Field Object  and I select  PAYCHQ4.CSV : NET_CENTS
I move the placeholder onto open space in Details and I end up with 2 of them!!! One is where I put it, and the other lands directly above it in "Page Header" which suddenly appears.

I can delete the unwanted field, but I am left with the unwanted page header (I don't know how to remove).

I've recently re-installed Sage 50 onto a new computer and obviously it requires some tweaking.  I use pre-printed 3 part cheques - cheque at top and 2 stubs below. Prior to the reinstall I used to use "invpmtchq.sfm" - this file is not in Sage Accountants Edition 2017.  No matter what I choose for "Description" and "Form" it comes up with an error message saying "Sage 50 can't located the form file in the Printer Form Settings".

Can someone please advise on the best method to import a sales invoice. Is the .imp specification the only way to import into Sage 50 - 2017 Canadian? Is there an excel template that I can map my excel data to and then save as a .CSV for importing into Sage?

I noticed about a month ago people were not receiveing my quotes that were sent via email through simply.  When I click on the add in button in microsoft outlook 2010 the and choose to sync. with sage 50 data file, it comes up with the message that that featrure is not available, contact Sage support. What I did find is that when I send an invoice or quote using sage and the email option, it shows being sent and reveiw my sent folder in email it shows sent. if I go to look up in my sent forlder for the quote that was sent it is at the oldest point of my email sent list with no date on it.. it says "none" in place of the date. what I have found is if it says that then the recipient never received the email. I have to forward it directly in outlook to make it show the date and for my recipient to recieve it.

my defaults for email and data are correct... why do I get the message when clicking on sync in outlook that featrue is not available. it is pretty frustrating to have to constantlly forward a sent email in orderr for it to really be sent.

Any suggestiions would be greatly appreciated..

I can't figure out what exactly the problem is. The total amount look fine to me.

Do the later versions still use C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage 50 Pro Accounting XXXX\Forms ?

i.e. I keep mine in my \Documents\SageForms\ because they are customized, I want them backed up daily along with the rest of my documents.  Program Files is backed up much less frequently.

Say I am doing invoices for one division, I use a specific invoice from \Documents\SageForms\ . If I need to pick another, when I hit [Browse], I'd expect  it open right in the same folder - or at least "last folder used". Instead it opens to that above mentioned Forms within Program Files.  If there's a setting to tell it where your forms are, I can not locate it in 2013. For a program I use daily, it's annoying to  have to navigate my way each time.

My workaround is that I have pinned my folder to the Quick Acces area which helps.

Even when the code are ok it ask for confirmation (the correct item is selected) for each detail line. Is there anyway to avoid this confirmation and import the invoice without confirmation ?

I have reinstalled (fresh) Outlook 2016 for a client for some reasons I am unable to get it to work with Sage 50 2017.  I have made it the default mail app/program.  Anyone else had this issue? Any help is appreciated.

I have read the whole conversation and I do have a question for you: My wife is self employed (very small buisness), using Sage 50 2016.2 and Microsoft Outlook 365. I agree with the other contributors that the situation of not be able to send an email (and invoice) through sage is really a problem. Further on, my wife won't pay the 700$ to get the 2016.3 as the 2016.2 is enough for her needs. Here is my question: can you tell me the walkthrough steps to get the email function back on track again? I went through your posts and I can't fix the problem. When I press the send email button in SAGE, Outlook opens up a small window mentionning that ''a program tries to access the email informations saved in Outlook. If this action is not wanted, click the refuse button''. Then I press ACCEPT. Then a second small window opens up and I see a progress bar (lasts 2 seconds) mentionning ''a program tries to send a email in your name'' so I press accept again. Looks fine but the email is never sent by Outlook. What steps do you recommend me? Thanks for your help!!

Currently use Outlook 2007.  Please advise what other email application that can be used with this version  ie gmail?  We are on Windows 10.  What are requirements if we were to use Outlook 365 that comes with Windows 10.

I get an error when I am trying to import a general journal entry that I want allocated to a project.  My import reads as follows:

We will be implementing a custom-built business software shortly.  The programmers are trying to program for the export of data to the .IMP file.   We have run a test and I received error codes and it would not import.   I am not sure what we are missing.  They tried to use the data they found from Sage Support online.  I am using Sage 50 Canadian Accountant Edition - Release 2018.1
